Mike Fogelson
Fractional General Manager
As a member since 2016, Mike’s passion lies in contributing to the long-term vision and continued enhancement of the Bemidji Town and Country Club. His is dedicated to providing representation and leadership for our members, fostering a strong sense of community and nurturing the growth of youth golfers within our club.
Rick Grand
Director of Golf Operations
For 30 years, I have brought a wealth of knowledge and deep enthusiasm to enhance the golfing experience for all BTCC patrons.
Matson Gravelle
Superintendent of Grounds
Backed by 10 + years of experience and armed with my University of Minnesota Turf Management degree, I lead a dedicated team responsible for nurturing and preserving the beauty and health of our golf course property through meticulous maintenance and care.
Spencer Konecne
Clubhouse Manager
As Clubhouse Manager, Spencer Konecne oversees all food and beverage operations at Bemidji Town & Country Club, including the North Shore Grille and Halfway House.
Spencer brings experience in private club and resort hospitality, most recently serving as General Manager of the Sitzmark at Alyeska Resort in Alaska and previously as Food & Beverage Manager at Minnesota Valley Country Club, where he managed a 40+ person team across restaurant, bar, and banquet operations.
BTCC is also familiar territory for Spencer. He previously served as Assistant Clubhouse Manager here, overseeing front-of-house operations, staffing, special events, inventory, and vendor relationships.
A hands-on leader who values strong service and team development, Spencer is happy to be back in Bemidji—and enjoys getting out on the golf course whenever he can.
Chad (Chappy) Enright

As a Culinary Arts graduate of Mankato Southwest Technical College, I prepare fresh, quality food that brings a smile to every diner’s face.
Dan Blom
Equipment Manager
A Northwest Technical College alum, I contribute to the beauty and functionality of our course and grounds by maintaining and repairing all golf course equipment.
Travis Smith
Assistant Superintendent of Grounds
I’m a proud alumnus of Bemidji State University and a valuable member of the team responsible for the maintenance and care of the golf course property.
Justin Fournier
Assistant Superintendent of Grounds
I help care for and maintain the course at BTCC, bringing over 28 years of experience in the golf course industry and more than two decades as a licensed pesticide applicator. I hold a B.S. in Crop and Soil Science from Virginia Tech and an M.S. in Environmental Science from Bemidji State University. I also own and operate Keye2Green Lawn Service and take pride in leading by example each day.

Director of Communications
A BTCC member for nearly 30 years, Alyssa leads the communications team at Bemidji Town & Country Club, ensuring the club’s members stay informed and engaged. With a passion for clear, effective communication, Alyssa helps create a connected, vibrant community at BTCC, keeping members informed and excited about everything the club has to offer.

A devoted BTCC member for a decade, Justin is dedicated to being a positive ambassador for the club. He actively aligns the direction of BTCC with the organization’s core values, emphasizing the importance of the member and guest experience. A long-tenured member of the club, Curt leads the Golf Committee, working towards enhancing golf shop communication, effectiveness, and functionality to provide an optimal member experience. As Birchmont Tournament Committee Chair, Curt is committed to preserving the tournament’s remarkable integrity while incorporating new technologies and player experiences as we celebrate 100 years and beyond.

With two decades of membership at BTCC, Derek actively contributes to the Greens Committee, dedicating his efforts to course maintenance and assisting with future improvements. His commitment enhances the overall experience for members and ensures the ongoing excellence of the club’s facilities.
Mary Sorlie
House Committee Chair, Long-Range Planning Committee Chair
Since relocating to Bemidji in 2010, Mary has been a committed and active member of the Bemidji Town & Country Club. A former high school golfer and lifelong advocate for the game, she retired from Sanford Health in 2022 and now focuses on contributing to BTCC’s success. Mary serves on both the greens and house committees, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to the club’s future and the sport she loves.
Kathleen Lander
House Committee, Golf Committee
Kathleen has spent 69 summers in Bemidji and is a longtime BTCC member with deep family ties to the club. A former summer staffer, she remains actively involved, with a particular passion for the North Shore Grille and helping build awareness and energy around the dining experience. She enjoys golfing several days a week—highlighted by a lucky hole-in-one on #2.

Travis Quam
Greens Committee, Long-Range Planning Committee
Travis played collegiate golf at BSU and has served on the Fosston Golf Club Board. A BTCC member for the past three years and former junior member, he has coached Fosston Junior High golf for 23 years. A husband and father of nine, Travis values the family atmosphere at BTCC and admits it’s hard to pass up the hot dogs at the halfway house. He looks forward to serving on the BTCC Board by building on what’s working while bringing fresh ideas to the club.
